IPC Week 2022

Celebrating 50 years of Infection Prevention

October 16 – 22, 2022.

Join us in our campaign to raise awareness for infection prevention

Look how far we’ve come

Help us raise awareness of the importance of preventing the spread of infections in your community. Our theme is ‘Look how far we’ve come’, which highlights outdated practices that seem unimaginable by today’s Infection Prevention and Control standards.

To supplement the resources included in the pack sent to your office, we have developed the below customisable resources to assist Electorate Offices with communicating the importance of Infection Prevention and Control with your community.

Stay tuned on our social channels on LinkedIn, Instagram and X in the lead up and through out IPC Week to see more and join the conversation! #InfectionPreventionWeek2022

How can you participate?

Join the Infection Prevention Competition

Tell us or show us what celebrating 50 years of Infection Prevention means or give an example of an old medical practice, showing how far we’ve come in IPC.
Your ideas could be expressed as:
• A poster
• Tell us a story
• Poem or song
• Sculpture or painting
• A decorated department
We encourage you to be as creative as possible! Involve your team, your patients, or your residents in your submission.

Due to an unprecedented number of entries, we will be announcing the winner during the week of ACIPC (November 14th-18th).
